The most affordable suburbs in Adelaide for purchasing a home have been revealed. 

The data was revealed by Domain in its First Home Buyers Report, which uncovers the locations where entry level buyers might be able to buy a home.

The most affordable suburb for buying a house in Greater Adelaide is Elizabeth North, with a median house price of $176,500. The most affordable suburb for buying a unit is Rosewater with a median price of $154,000.

While you may have to move further out from the CBD to buy a house, if you are in the market for a unit you may be able to snag a bargain closer to the city.

The First Home Owner Grant in South Australia is set at $15,000 for new and substantially renovated homes purchased that are under the value of $575,000. There are no stamp duty concessions offered on all new home purchases, first buyers might be eligible for an off the plan concession for new apartments up to the value of $500 000.
